2011 Safest Companies

December 8, 2011

Twelve companies that include ACCO Brands Corp., Buffalo Gap Instrumentation & Electrical Co. Inc., Caterpillar Inc., EnPro Industries, EuroKera North America, Fluor Corp., Gribbins Insulation Co. Inc., Honeywell Federal Manufacturing and Technologies LLC, Kennametal Inc., Nalco Co., Richard Goettle Inc. and Savage Services have all made it into the 2011 Safest Companies list as named by EHS Today.  Safe work environments are extremely important not only in order to get workers home safely but to keep the company performing at top level.

Many things are brought into consideration when EHS decides on who should make the Safest Company list.  Safe work environments encompass employee involvement in the safety program, high quality training programs, lower than average injury and illness rates, good communication, support from management, and excellent problem solving skills.  I tend to think that companies that display all of these characteristics probably also have a commitment to using quality safety products within their facilities which helps keep their injury and illness numbers down.  Everything from safety goggles, ear plugs, air filtering systems and safety flooring are important for keeping workers physically safe.

SlipNOT® can provide companies with high traction, long lasting metal safety flooring that can be incorporated into almost every aspect of a facility.  Available in stock sizes or fabricated to custom sizes; SlipNOT® non-slip flooring can help a company increase safety and work towards a 100% safe environment.  These 12 companies have something every company should strive for and are a good example of what can happen when safety is taken seriously.
