SlipNOT® expanded metal stair treads easily retrofit over existing slippery stairs making them slip resistant and safe.

Product Features:
- Advantages: Expanded Metal Tread is ideal in areas where frequent use or exposure to slippery environments increases the risk of accidents and potential public access liability problems. It is suitable for new construction or retrofitting onto existing areas. Expanded Metal Treads offer a less expensive alternative to plate tread.
- Durability: Treads coated with SlipNOT® have a bond strength of 2,000 psi. If coated with steel or stainless steel treads have a minimum bond strength of 4,000 psi.
- Finishes: Aluminum flattened expanded metal tread covers can be ordered in a mill finish or painted.
- Slip Resistant Standards: Flattened expanded metal stair treads exceed all requirements for coefficient of friction specified by ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, and OSHA. SlipNOT®’s coefficient of friction is greater than or equal to .85. SlipNOT® products are U.L. approved. (Standards and Test Requirements)
- Fabrication: Tread can be formed to specifications with nosings, risers and nosings or formed to a channel. Treads are manufactured to specifications. (Fabricating Specifics)
- Application: Treads are generally welded directly onto current treads or stringers or can be bolted in place. Expanded metal is ideal for retrofitting over existing grating treads.
