SlipNOT® slip resistant aluminum treads are lightweight, durable, and retain their slip resistance even when covered in oil, water or other lubricants.  The patented SlipNOT® process deposits a stream of molten metal plasma onto a metal substrate which creates a high friction, resilient surface.  The SlipNOT® surface has a coefficient of friction greater than or equal to 0.85, which far exceeds any current or proposed OSHA, ADA, UL, ASTM and NFPA specifications for slip resistant surfaces.  The SlipNOT® coating is 100% grit free and won’t flake off and lasts longer than many other taped-on or painted-on products.

Each SlipNOT® non-slip aluminum tread is custom fit to your specifications.  Each piece can be tailored to fit into an existing area, making it easy to retrofit over existing stairways.  A SlipNOT® aluminum tread can also be used for new construction to enhance safety on new stairways.  SlipNOT® aluminum treads can also retrofit over existing slippery diamond plate to instantly create a safe walking surface and reduce workplace injuries.  A SlipNOT^® aluminum tread is generally welded directly onto stringers or can be bolted in place.

Each SlipNOT® aluminum tread is available in the following non-slip surfaces:

• Grade 1 (Fine) – Used for light duty applications where minimal slip resistance is needed
• Grade 2 (Medium) – Generally used for every application where slip resistance is mandatory
