SlipNOT® Metal Safety Flooring can be supplied in steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. SlipNOT® has different slip resistant surfaces (grades) available for the anti-slip floor gratings as well.
Grade 1 (Fine):
The Grade 1 (Fine) SlipNOT® surface is ideal for light duty applications where slip resistance is required but it is not a extremely dangerous, slick area. The Grade 1 (Fine) surface has an average surface intensity of 0.010″ – 0.012″. Substrates available for Grade 1 (Fine) are:
- Steel – Painted or Mill finish only
- Stainless Steel
- Aluminum
Painting or priming of the SlipNOT® should not exceed 5 mils to prevent degradation of the SlipNOT® performance.
Grade 2 (Medium):
Grade 2 (Medium) is pertinent to nearly every situation where anti-slip floor gratings are used. The average surface intensity that is applied is 0.020″ – 0.025″ and is available in all metal substrates SlipNOT® offers. Surface treatments, such as painting, priming or galvanizing must not exceed 10 mils. Hot dipped galvanizing is the preferred surface protection for steel floor gratings.
Grade 3 (Coarse):
The unsurpassed solution for demanding environments, Grade 3 (Coarse) will ensure pedestrian and worker safety. Grade 3 (Coarse) has a typical peak to valley surface of 0.032″ – 0.038″. Floor gratings that have SlipNOT®‘s Grade 3 (Coarse) slip resistant coating applied are only available for steel substrates that are being used for extremely high traffic or contaminated environments.
Unlike serrated and plain floor grating, SlipNOT® gratings are coated with an all metal slip resistant surface making it exceed all standard requirements for OSHA, ADA. ANSI, NFPA, UL, among others. The all metal slip resistant coating is also toxic and fume free and will not wear smooth or delaminate.
SlipNOT® gratings are sold in stock sizes or can be custom cut to size per specifications. SlipNOT® non slip expanded metal and perforated plate can also be retrofitted over the existing floor grating, creating safe walking and working surfaces.
