Bar Grating
Bar grating is known for its ability to be very resilient while offering many varieties in style and spacing for endless application possibilities. Bar grating is ideal in wet environments as it allows for drainage, circulation and light to pass through the flooring. Bar grating on its own is not slip resistant but can be transformed into a non slip product by having it coated with a durable SlipNOT® slip resistant metal surface.
Bar grating offers different styles that can accommodate a variety of different applications. There are styles that are appropriate for industrial flooring applications, such as walkways and loading docks, while other styles that are ADA compliant and can be used in commercial facilities as entryways and decorative touches. Each style has a different bearing bar thickness and cross bar spacing. Bearing bars are the bars that run the width of the grating. Spacing for the bearing bars are generally spaced 4” apart, depending on style chosen, but can come in different bar sizes to accommodate different load bearing capabilities. Cross bars, also known as span, run the length of the grating and can be spaced anywhere from very close, to accommodate high heels, to a few inches apart, to accommodate general manufacturing applications.
