Cargill Cedar Rapids Achieves Safety Record
Safety is a very important component of making sure manufacturing facilities run smoothly. Having non-slip flooring, stairs, and ladders installed can greatly increase the peace of mind workers have while working in slippery environments. Recently, Cargill’s Corn Milling facility in Cedar Rapids, IA, celebrated a very important milestone—going a year without any employee having a work related injury.
Cargill invested millions of dollars and spent hundreds of hours to increase safety in their facility over recent years. They made upgrades to the plant and held employee training seminars which helped each employee contribute to completing this milestone. Creating awareness and an appreciation of workplace safety played a major role in helping Cargill employees and managers to reach this safety record.
Providing non-slip surfaces in plants that produce oils and other products used in the food industry is a must. SlipNOT® is used in various food processing plants across North America, such as Tyson Foods, Good Humor-Breyers®, and Campbell Soup. The slip resistant SlipNOT® coating can retain its slip resistance when completely covered in oils and other lubricants. Cargill made an effort to keep their employees safe at work, and SlipNOT® can aide in that effort to keep employees on their feet.
