Perforated plate comes in many readily available patterns, shapes and sizes.  Most commonly, 1/4” diameter holes on 3/8” staggered centers is the pattern of choice.  Many applications that require perforated plate need the solid walking surface of plate combined with the flow through advantage of perforated plate.  Perforated plate easily allows the passage of light, air and moisture, as well as the ability for slippery elements to drain easily.
