According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), “Each year there are more than 164,000 emergency room-treated injuries in the U.S. relating to ladders.”   

Many preventative measures can be taken to dramatically decrease the amount of injuries that occur from ladders.  Rungs are an integral component of the ladder that needs to be addressed.  Whether the rungs are composed of metal, aluminum or other similar material, safety is essential.
