Which Trench Cover is Best for You?

A SlipNOT® trench cover has endless possibilities.  SlipNOT® trench covers are fabricated to customer specified dimensions, in various shapes, sizes and materials.  See below to help determine which type of metal and substrate is best for your trench cover application.

A SlipNOT® trench cover can be made of the following products:

  • Plate: Provides a solid surface and the most slip resistant surface area
  • Grating: Provides a excellent drainage and the passage of air and light while remaining non-slip
  • Perforated Plate: Provides a high percentage of solid non slip surface area while the holes allow for drainage.  Flexes to prevent worker fatigue
  • Expanded Metal: Easy to retrofit over existing flooring and light weight

Trench covers are offered in the following materials:

  • Aluminum- Corrosion resistant
  • Steel- Can hold a large amount of weight and extremely durable
  • Stainless Steel- Chemical and corrosion resistant

In my opinion, trench covers should be slip resistant.  Most often trench covers are used to keep people safe on a given area.  In order to ensure safety, a slip resistant metal is imperative.
