The Situation:

Pavan is a producer of long-cut pasta equipment, spaghetti lines, plants for macaroni, short-cut pasta equipment, nest shaped dry pasta and couscous production systems.  Two years ago Pavan contacted SlipNOT® looking for a safe solution to their slippery platform decks and stairs.  They were interested in slip resistant stainless steel floor plates that could be built into new platform and stair construction.  SlipNOT® provided Pavan with information and a quote on the NSF approved anti-slip floor plates.

Pavan was looking for safety flooring products that could be easily included with new construction.  SlipNOT® products can also be retrofitted onto slippery existing areas if necessary.  Including metal safety flooring products in initial construction is an important first step in creating a safe and productive workplace.

The Solution:

In December of 2008 Pavan decided that the SlipNOT® product was what they were looking for.  They ordered 1/8” x 48” x 60” and 1/8” x 48” x 96” Grade 2 stainless steel stock sized plates.  This gave Pavan the ability to fabricate the non-slip plate to their specific needs.  The anti-slip plate can also be supplied cut to specific sizes ready to be installed.

There are many other food processing facilities that fabricate SlipNOT® metal safety flooring products to meet their specific needs.  Many facilities want to use the SlipNOT® products in various locations and can easily split up a stock sized plate to be used in more than one location.  This process cuts back on costs for the facility.

The Impact:

In food and beverage facilities, productivity and worker safety are important, but so is cleanliness and sanitation.  The SlipNOT® non-slip plate was easily installed into the Pavan food processing platform, and can be easily cleaned with standard methods such as power washing and brushing.  Pavan is extremely satisfied with the results.
