Culligan, the world's leader in water filtration and treatment solutions for high-quality drinking water and soft water, had a four foot wide and 30 foot long drain that was slippery. The owner of Culligan contacted SlipNOT® to replace the old slippery grating with SlipNOT® safety grating. The prior grating was not meeting Culligan’s standards and not performing well. In the water regeneration area, there is about 1,000 gallons of water or more that comes out very quickly, making the area extremely slippery.
The Solution:
SlipNOT® provided 1-1/4” x 3/16” x 35-13/16” x 48-1/2” banded safety grating. SlipNOT® supplied the safety grating in Grade 2 galvanized steel. This was the best option for Culligan due to the extremely wet conditions of the area, galvanizing prevents the steel safety grating from rusting or corroding. The grating was sized to fit impeccably into the notch used for draining water.
The Impact:
SlipNOT® provided a superior solution to the original grating that was installed at the Culligan facility. SlipNOT® safety grating retains traction, even when immersed in water. SlipNOT® safety grating was installed easily at the facility and the customer was very happy, not only with the product but with the great customer service.
