Stainless Steel Plates and Drain Covers Installed at Amy’s Kitchen

Situation:

Amy’s Kitchen is a family owned business which began in 1987, once their daughter Amy was born. Amy’s started off as a frozen food manufacturer in 1987 and expanded into manufacturing soups, pasta sauce, beans, chili and salsa in 1999. Amy’s food tastes so good because it’s made with all organic ingredients and does not have any additives, preservatives or GMOs. Amy’s Kitchen is vegetarian and their cheese is made with hormone free milk and does not contain animal enzymes or rennet. Also, the fruits and vegetables grow organically without harmful chemicals. Amy’s has a large selection of meals, such as country dinners, pizza, burritos, veggie burgers and tasty soups. At one of Amy’s food processing plants in Oregon, the flooring became extremely slick, making it difficult for employees to stay on their feet. A plant engineer contacted SlipNOT® Metal Safety Flooring to incorprate seamless flooring.

Solution:

SlipNOT® provided ¼” x 5’ x 10’ 304 Grade 2 plates as well as ¼” x 8” diameter customer supplied Grade 2 stainless steel plates. Amy’s kitchen chose stainless steel for their plant due to its high traction and chemical and corrosion resistance. The stainless steel decking and stainless steel drain covers proved to be a great addition to Amy’s kitchen.

SlipNOT®’s stainless steel products are NSF registered and currently used in numerous processing plants such as meat, cheese, dairy, beverage and processed foods.

Impact:

Amy’s Kitchen was extremely happy with their new installation. Not only are the stainless steel decking and drain covers aesthetically pleasing, but they are holding up well throughout the plant with food particles, harsh chemicals and continuous power washing.
