The Situation:

A glass and metal contractor for architectural applications was contacted by ANZ Bank in Manhattan, NY who was looking for a non-slip solution to their elevator threshold.  The bank needed to ensure the safety and protection of people using the elevator, regardless of slippery conditions that can be caused by elements such as cleaning solutions.  The contractor decided to contact to SlipNOT® Metal Safety Flooring to provide preventative safety measures for customers and employees alike.

The Solution:

After reviewing the many options SlipNOT® has to offer, the contractor decided on using stainless steel plate for this application.  SlipNOT® stainless steel plate provides an easy to clean, aesthetically pleasing non-slip surface that is ideal for applications where both worker and visitor foot traffic is high.

Nine (9) pieces of 1/4’’ thick stainless steel plates were ordered, in a variety of widths and lengths for the elevator threshold.  Once the stainless steel plate pieces were cut to the appropriate sizes needed for the threshold application, SlipNOT® shipped them to the contractor to be installed at ANZ Bank.

The Impact:

The customized non-slip stainless steel plate pieces were installed on the elevator threshold at ANZ Bank.  The stainless steel plate is providing a non-slip walking surface, regardless of what elements, including cleaning solutions, it comes in contact with.  Staff and visitors are pleased with the results.  Whether you’re traveling up or down, SlipNOT® always keeps you “up.”
