Independent testing has shown that diamond plate and serrated grating are slipperier than SlipNOT® slip resistant metal decking and flooring materials when wet and consequently, create hazardous conditions for pedestrians and traffic. Independent agencies have also determined that diamond checker plate and serrated grating have coefficient of friction values drastically lower than the surrounding cement, also creating hazardous situations for pedestrians. SlipNOT® Metal Safety Flooring slip resistant metal decking and flooring materials are over double the OSHA recommended value of 0.5 coefficient of friction and are ADA compliant, far exceeding the ADA mandated slip resistant values of 0.6 COF for level surfaces and 0.8 COF for inclined surfaces.
