The water and wastewater industry encompasses the mechanical and chemical processes used to remove pollutants from wastewater to reuse in the environment. These processes, done in water and wastewater treatment plants, can create slippery environments for operators and technicians. Vapors, water and chemicals can create slick walkways and areas near large machinery and tanks.
SlipNOT® designs products that are ideal for water and wastewater treatment plants, stainless steel provides chemical and corrosion resistance and aluminum provides lightweight corrosion resistance. Grating and plank are utilized in areas that require drainage, as well as a high strength to weight ratio. Utilized for tank covers, access hatches, catwalks, industrial work platforms, trench covers, ladders, stairs and manhole covers, SlipNOT® products are custom fabricated to meet detailed specifications.

Pirtle Springs
Radcliff, KY
Pirtle Springs Wastwater Treatment Plant needed a slip resistant material for stair treads that would also provide a contamination barrier. After speaking to a SlipNOT® represenative it was decided that plate stair treads with riser and nosing to prevent debris and liquids from falling through would be the best option. The aluminum plate stair treads met the needs of the plant and continue to provide unparalleled traction.
City of Monroe
Monroe, MI
Slippery existing grating at the City of Monroe Wastewater Treatment Plant was causing concern for the facility. A new slip resistant material that could withstand an outdoor environment was required. After contacting SlipNOT®, galvanized grating was chosen due to minimal maintenance and corrosion resistance. The galvanized grating replaced the existing grating and has proven to be a long lasting solution for their needs.
