Non-Slip Stair Treads | SlipNOT®

Non-Slip Stair Treads

Non-slip stair treads should be an integral part of any stair case. Whether the stairway is in an industrial setting, a commercial building or an outdoor park, non-slip stair treads should be installed to keep workers and pedestrians safe.

Boeing Stainless Steel Threads

There are many different types of non-slip stair treads available but you should always consider how long the non-slip stair treads will remain slip resistant. SlipNOT® non-slip stair treads exceed all slip resistant recommendations set by OSHA (OSHA Standard 1910.24F), ADA, ANSI, ASTM, and NFPA. SlipNOT® non-slip stair treads remain slip resistant years longer than painted on or taped on surfaces. The non-slip stair treads will not flake or delaminate like other non-slip stair treads.

SlipNOT® offers a variety of styles in non-slip stair treads:

Plate non-slip stair treads are most often built into new construction but can be used to retrofit over existing slippery stairs. Plate non-slip stair treads can be formed with a riser, a nosing, a riser and nosing or as a channel. SlipNOT® non-slip plate stair treads can be formed to specific shapes to fit custom stairways. These non-slip stair treads can be provided with countersunk holes for easy installation or can be welded into place.

Grating non-slip stair treads can be formed using any style of grating from ADA spacing to general industrial spacing. These non-slip stair treads are generally installed into new construction and can be provided with standard end plates. Extremely wet and oily situations can utilize these non slip stair treads because of their excellent drainage.

Expanded metal non-slip stair treads are used to retrofit over existing slippery stair treads. These non-slip stair treads can be fabricated to fit over custom shapes and sizes, and can be easily tack welded or bolted into place. Expanded metal non-slip stair treads are very cost effective for fixing problem areas without having to completely replace the existing stair.

Perforated plate non slip stair treads are available with a variety of hole sizes and spacing options. These non-slip stair treads combine the strength of plate with the drainage benefits of grating.  Perforated non-slip stair treads can be retrofit over existing slippery stairs but are generally used in new construction.

All SlipNOT® non-slip stair treads are available in steel, stainless steel and aluminum alloys.  Steel non-slip stair treads can also be galvanized to prevent corrosion.
