Tread Plate

- SlipNOT® floor plates provide complete coverage in comparison to just areas of slip resistance, like diamond plate.
Tread plate is a generic term used to describe a variety of different flooring styles. Checkered tread plates, embossed tread plates, aluminum tread plates, steel tread plates, stainless steel tread plates and diamond tread plates are a few of the more specific styles of tread plate. Regardless of the name, tread plates are used throughout the world in industrial, commercial, municipal and residential settings as a source of traction and are classified as a non-slip metal flooring product. Unfortunately, tread plates do not maintain their slip resistant qualities when wet, dusty or worn.
Instead of using tread plates in slippery areas and having to replace them due to wear and continual slip and falls, companies and municipalities should invest in a far superior, truly slip resistant metal flooring product. SlipNOT® Metal Safety Flooring manufactures non slip metal plates that can replace slippery tread plates in any industry. While SlipNOT® products are not appropriate for residential use, SlipNOT® metal plates can be incorporated into any industrial or commercial application and are available in steel, stainless steel, aluminum. The steel surface can be galvanized for a cost effective solution to interior and exterior slip hazards.
Stainless steel tread plates are commonly used throughout food processing facilities. Floor coverings such as stair treads, walkways, crossovers, mezzanines, drain covers, platforms and ladder rungs must all be slip resistant and must all be stainless steel in order to maintain sanitation when coming in contact with the harsh chemicals commonly present in these facilities. Unfortunately, tread plate flooring does not provide the traction needed in slippery, wet conditions. SlipNOT® stainless steel plates are registered by NSF International and can be used in food processing facilities to ensure workers a safe and sanitary working environment.
Aluminum tread plates are often used throughout the west coast in applications such as electrical vault covers. These vault covers are generally found in sidewalks and are walked on every day by hundreds of people. In order to keep pedestrians safe, SlipNOT® aluminum plates can be welded to the top of electrical vaults, instead of tread plates, to provide the appropriate traction needed to keep people safe.
SlipNOT® metal floor plates are fully customizable and exceed the slip resistant flooring recommendations set by ADA and OSHA. Unlike slippery tread plates, metal floor plates provide a permanent solution to slip and fall hazards.
