Rungs

Non-slip rungs keep employees safe in a dairy processing plant.

Rungs are an integral part to every ladder.  Rungs come in a variety of shapes, sizes and materials which directly affect their ability to prevent slip and falls.  SlipNOT® non-slip rungs play an important role in keeping the individual whom is climbing the ladder safe.  The 100% slip resistant coverage guarantees hand and foot traction in the efforts to help prevent dangerous falls.

SlipNOT® rungs are easy to weld into any new ladder construction and can be provided cut to the specific size needed for the job to allow for an easy installation.  Slip resistant rungs can also be purchased in stock sized lengths and cut to size in the field.  SlipNOT® rungs are available in steel, stainless steel and aluminum.  If a galvanized steel ladder is needed, steel rungs can be purchased and welded into a new ladder.  The entire ladder can then be galvanized without affecting the SlipNOT® surface on the rungs (see specific galvanizing guidelines.)  Slip resistant rungs are available in a round or square shape.  SlipNOT® generally coats solid rungs, however tubes can be coated upon specific request.  Custom rungs can be created using SlipNOT® plate and inset into wood, concrete or other media.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 80% of all slip and falls from ladders occur at the top of the ladder, resulting in 24,000 injuries and over 100 deaths each year in private industry.  SlipNOT® safety rungs exceed OSHA standard 1926.1053 (a)(6)(i) and OSHA standard 1910.26 (a)(1)(v) for slip resistant ladder rungs, which can help prevent these fatal accidents.

SlipNOT® rungs can be used in any industry to keep workers safe while climbing.  From food processing plants, automotive facilities and naval ships to underground vaults and offshore oil rigs; SlipNOT® rungs provide consistent traction in every direction.
