NSF Standard 332: Resilient Flooring

October 2, 2012

NSF International is a not-for-profit, independent organization that provides product certification, standards development, education, auditing, and risk management for public health and the environment.  Manufacturers, consumers and regulators depend on NSF International for the development of public health standards and certifications that help protect the world’s food, water, health and consumer products.   NSF developed a new standard based on life cycle assessment approach NSF/ANSI 332.  NSF/ANSI 332 employs an easy-to-use point system to evaluate resilient flooring against established prerequisite requirements, performance criteria and quantifiable metrics in six key areas.  These areas are as follows:

  • Product design
  • Product Manufacturing
  • Long-term Value
  • End-of-Life Management
  • Corporate Governance
  • Innovation

If the following NSF flooring benefits appeal to you, you may want to consider having your products certified:

  • Distinguish “green” products from competitors and enhance your brand
  • Obtain preferred vendor status from those seeking sustainable solutions
  • Meet state and federal procurement guidelines
  • Achieve the most credible type of certification available in the marketplace
  • Save money by adopting more sustainable

SlipNOT manufactures NSF flooring and green metal products that are completely slip resistant and customizable to any project.  From catwalks and platforms to drain covers and walkways, SlipNOT  manufactures a variety of stainless steel products such as grating, floor plate, ladder rungs, stair treads and more.  SlipNOT is registered by NSF for use in food processing facilities but has not yet been certified by standard 332.
