Existing slippery stairs are a hazard in any industry.  Workers in a food processing plant using stairs that are covered with food bi-product, fat and grease, employees at a steel mill using stairs that are layered with dust, workers on an off shore oil rig using wet stairs to access platforms, and pedestrians using entrance stairs in and out of commercial buildings during inclement weather are only a few of the countless situations where dangerous slip and fall accidents can happen as a result of slippery stairs.  Slip resistant step covers provided by SlipNOT® instantly transform dangerous existing stairs into safe high traction stairs.

SlipNOT®  step covers can be welded or bolted on to existing slippery stairs.  Step covers are available in steel, stainless steel, aluminum and galvanized steel.  The file hard surface is between 55-63 on the Rockwell “C” scale and the non-slip surface is bonded to the metal substrate at at least 4,000 psi.

• Solid plate step covers:  SlipNOT® step covers that are constructed of solid plate can be fabricated with just a nosing, a riser and a nosing, or as a channel.  They provide 100% solid surface coverage for the worn and slippery stairs.  They can be welded over grating, diamond plate, or any other metal stair construction.  They can also be bolted onto concrete or wood.
• Flattened expanded metal step covers:  Non-slip step covers constructed of SlipNOT® coated flattened expanded metal are generally welded over existing slippery diamond plate or grating stairs.  They can be fabricated to retrofit over the entire stair tread.  Slip resistant flattened expanded metal allows for drainage, light and air to pass through the stair meanwhile creating a high traction surface.
• Perforated plate step covers:  Non-slip perforated plate can be used as a step cover if drainage is needed on an existing stair tread.  SlipNOT® perforated plate step covers can be welded over grating if more surface coverage is needed than what the flattened expanded metal step cover can provide.
