Autoliv Nissin Brake Systems, a joint venture between Autoliv and Nissin Kogyo, started operations on April 1, 2016. With Autoliv being the world's largest automotive safety supplier and Nissin Kogyo being a leading supplier of high-performance brake systems, it is only natural that the two would join together to develop and produce brake control and brake actuation systems for the worldwide vehicle market. Determined to be a market leader, the company currently provides brake control and actuation systems for Ford, General Motors, Honda, Mitsubishi, Toyota, and more.
Autoliv Nissin is headquartered in Yokohama, Japan and has over 1,600 employees spread over 7 locations in Japan, China, Germany, and the United States. The company is in the process of constructing a new facility in Findlay, OH. Until it is completed, employees are sharing manufacturing space with Nissin Brake Ohio. In that facility, a coolant line runs between two machines and under diamond plate. A mat used to sit over the diamond plate, but conditions always became slippery when coolant dripped onto the floor. A program change was made to remove the excess coolant, but the company still wanted to install something to provide more slip resistance.
