COP Tanks are Clean-Out-of-Place (COP) Immersion Parts Washers that are used to provide a long-term, semi-automated cleaning alternative to labor intensive, unreliable manual cleaning. COP Immersion Parts Washers are customizable and come with a variety of options for each company to choose what fits their needs best. Since the process involves water and has potentially slick surfaces around the machine, Allied Fabricating & Welding ordered a 1/4” x 11” x 108” 304 stainless steel stair tread with a 2” nosing and a 2” riser coated in Grade 2 SlipNOT® stainless steel surface for workers to stand on while using this machine. All SlipNOT® products retain traction even when completely coated in water, oil or other lubricants.
Since the stair tread was ordered based on a drawing created by a SlipNOT® sales representative, the stair tread fit the exact dimensions needed for the application. The tread can be installed easily in the field without further fabrication. SlipNOT® stainless steel stair treads are approved by NSF International for use in food processing environments. Stainless steel plate has a file hard surface between 55 - 63 on the Rockwell “C” scale and has a bond strength of at least 4,000 psi with a coefficient of friction 0.85 or greater.
SlipNOT® stainless steel stair treads can be formed to specifications with only nosings, risers and nosings or formed to a channel. Treads can also be provided pre-drilled or can be drilled and countersunk in the field without harming the slip resistant surface. Slip resistant stainless steel stair treads are formed to specifications with or without mount plates.
